Practical Information for Property Managers

Back to front page
To make the most of the solution from VENI Metering, we work closely with you, as the property manager. We aim for good and regular communication to make your daily tasks easier and more efficient.

Everything you need to know

An overview in the VENI Portal

In the VENI Portal, you can log in to get a complete overview of all meters in the building, all consumption, and access to quality-assured meter data. If you haven’t explored the VENI Portal yet, log in today.

Tenants moving in or out

Tenants must notify their electricity supplier when moving in or out. Move-out must be reported in advance. If VENI Metering receives a termination notice from the tenant’s electricity supplier without a new order for the metering point, the metering point must either be closed or transferred to the property manager.

The metering solution is tailored to achieve proper distribution and billing of energy consumption to tenants at all times. The solutions are scalable and can be adapted to physical or operational changes in the building. If such changes are planned, it is important that you inform us in VENI Metering.

Planning to install solar panels?

Are you considering installing solar panels on the building? If so, we offer an optimal solution for managing solar power, making it profitable and easy for the building owner to make the investment.

Need more help? Frequently Asked Questions

How is meter reading done?

VENI Metering has installed remotely read meters for all subscribers. The values are collected and checked continuously in our solution.

Installation of a new metering point

Installed equipment is reported by sending an email to VENI Metering. The installer at the site is responsible for submitting the form. The information is used by our personnel when installing two-way communication equipment on the meter.

Does your company qualify for a reduced electricity tax?

Some companies are entitled to a reduced tax or exemption from the electricity tax. For example, production companies can get a reduced electricity tax rate on facilities used for production. The company must document whether the criteria for a reduced tax are met.

What is an electricity certificate?

In Norway and Sweden, an electricity certificate scheme is introduced to support the development of more renewable energy. The certificate itself is issued to power producers who produce renewable energy who can then trade the certificates on the power exchange. In Norway the scheme is managed by NVE (The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate), and power suppliers are required to purchase electricity certificates on behalf of the end-user. This is further invoiced via the electricity bill.

How do we order new metering equipment for a building with Metering Management?

It is important that VENI Metering receives information about customers who will be on a new meter from the start. All data about the new customer must be registered with VENI Metering as soon as the facility is ready and voltage set. It is not possible to register a start date retroactively. See Ordering new metering equipment for more information.

How do I get access to the VENI Portal?

Please find the user guide and login information here

How can the property manager monitor the building’s electricity consumption?

VENI Metering uses automatically read meters on all buildings with metering management. All meter values in the entire building are made available in the VENI Portal. Here you can quickly and easily get an overview of all meters, including meter number, meter name, consumption, and who is listed as the subscriber. You can see electricity consumption per meter or for the entire property portfolio and compare periods as desired.

How can our tenants monitor their own consumption?

All tenants in buildings with metering solution from VENI Metering can log in to the customer portal My Page and get a complete overview of their consumption.

How does metering management work for tenants?

VENI Metering invoices the tenant for grid rent according to the same tariff as the local grid owner. The tenant is free to choose an electricity supplier. Those who choose electricity from VENI Metering are billed for electricity and grid on the same invoice.
